pper age limit, the candidate should be holding a valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable up to 26 years.
Graduate candidate with minimum three years of degree course completed from any reputed institute or university with a minimum percentage of 60% marks [or] equally B.E or B.Tech degree candidate completed four years of course from a good university with a 60% of minimum marks.
A candidate who had passed Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from any reputed University with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent can be eligible.
Duration of Training: For Flying & Ground Duty Technical Branches will be 74 weeks and for Non-technical Branches in Ground Duty will be 52 weeks at Air Force Training Establishments after admission to the Air Force Academy.
(iii) A candidate who will short-listed on the basis of AFCAT & EKT will be called for further testing at one of the Air Force Selection Boards at Dehradun, Mysore, Varanasi or Gandhinagar. A candidate who wants to join for flying branch can select for Mysore, Dehradun, and Varanasi only.
(v) Sample question papers and syllabus of AFCAT & EKT is available on IAF career website www.careerairforce.nic.in. EKT would be for 45 minutes and conducted immediately after AFCAT.
It is mandatory for the applicant who chooses for Ground Duty technical branch to pass both AFCAT & EKT.
